26 acre country property with two houses, one a 3 bedroom, the other 2 bedroom The Kottage has been loving restored with touches of days gone by including wood from the original German settlers house. It has a comfortable front porch and rocking chairs to view the countryside. A full kitchen, dining room and a living room greet our guests as they enter. We have WiFi available and modern conveniences in our country home. The Kottage has 1 bathroom and 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed. There is a picnic area that occupies the original home site of the German settlers that lived here in the 1800's. The Kottage overlooks a native prairie in restoration with many species of birds that can be seen as we sit astride a major Texas flyway. You can also watch for the herd of deer that call this area home. Take a stroll down to the pond and see the waterfowl that frequent this riparian area, or around the 26 acres to see the many types of Texas native grasses and wildflowers that inhabit the prairie. Enjoy the sunrises and sunsets as well as the clear view in the night sky, along with the evening sounds that occur only in the country.
BreakfastWe serve a fresh breakfast item everyday as well as cereal, fruit, milk, coffee, tea and juice. Depending on the season some of the items may come from our garden or orchard.
